I Agree "Electronic Arts" is the one who's going to publish the Game, and they should decide what the release date of the Game should be, without people rushing them to publish a release date, and from what i know from reviews, the game itself seems massive and it shouldn't be rushed by the creators, like LucasArts did with SWKOTOR 2 where loads of scenes and features got erased and are now trying to bring them back to the game a few years later. I agree with User:JAF1970, Amazon isn't an official source for information, the best source for information will be the creators of the Spore Game "Electronic Arts" and their website, which provides the correct info, and the official release date. Until Amazon buys Electronic Arts or Maxis, they are NOT an official source of information, nor are they even reliable. I've seen recreations varying from the King in Katamari Damacy to Orbital Frames from Zone of Enders. They even animate well, and can produce pretty amazing characters.

Though I understand the argument not to use the Amazon box placeholder, why not use the already released and EA approved logo for the game? It is certainly recognized both inside and outside the gaming community, and WP does have a policy of using logos when discussing products for critical review. Not sure if this warrants adding, but has a release date (March 4th, 2008) and box art:Īaand apparently I'm waaay late to the party here.
How about adding it in the article and writing that it is not the official box art but just Amazon?
